Turtlesong

Gail grew up in Boston, moving to Portland, Maine in her early twenties. After 40 years in Portland, she moved to Belfast, where she has embraced life in Midcoast.

She graduated from Montserrat College of Visual Arts, Beverly MA, where she studied both fine art and graphics. In addition to painting, Gail has worked as a professional graphic artist, and operated her own crafts business.

Gail's painting style relies on thick layers of rich color. Her view is at once representational, impressionist, and expressionist, always seeking to capture the freshness, light, and magic of midcoast Maine, and other landscapes of inspiration.

Her subjects are often her garden, neighboring farm animals, and the rolling hills of Midcoast.
