Author Wendy Ulmer

My love of nature influences everything I do. Spending hours in the woods growing up, I developed a bond with the trees, the rocks, the mosses – anything that lived naturally in that environment. To this day, I go to nature for comfort, grounding, or to feel unbounded joy. The rhythms of nature inform my writing and provide a framework for my stories.

I graduated from Lebanon Valley College and earned a master’s degree from Lesley University. I taught music and English for 22 years and have been volunteering in a second-grade classroom for 15 years. My students were, and continue to be, my most influential teachers.
