Maine Mall Intake Procedure

Welcome to Maine Micro Artisans! This page details the inventory intake procedure for the Maine Mall location. If you have any questions, please email mall@mainemicroartisans.com.

Bangor inventory drops

Inventory drops for transport to Bangor will be at the mall as well - you can skip to the scheduling part below and you'll just leave your inventory with us at the mall after adding it to the Ricochet system.

Add your inventory to the portal

When you're ready to bring inventory to the mall store, the first step is to add it in the MMA portal. You should have already received setup instructions for your portal account. Once you've logged in, click the "Add Inventory" button and enter your item name, the quantity you're bringing, and the price of each item. The item name is what you will see on your sales report when the item sells.

The ability to edit inventory entered into the portal is coming soon but for now there's no way for you to make changes to item data once you've submitted it. If you need changes made, just email the address above and we'll get it straightened out for you.

It's not necessary to upload item images at this time; we are currently not using the "Upload Item Images" feature of the portal.

Schedule an intake appointment

When you've finished adding your items, your inventory will be approved and you'll receive an email with a link to schedule an inventory intake appointment. If you're closer to Bangor, you'll make an appointment with Caity at the Bangor store and you're done - we'll transport your items to South Portland shortly and get them tagged. If you're closer to South Portland, you'll make an appointment to bring your items directly to the mall.

Your mall intake appointment

The Maine Mall has strict rules about bringing inventory during mall hours - we're not allowed to bring anything through the main entrance so we have to use our rear service entrance - Service Court 5B. This is located behind the dumpsters in the alcove between Spectrum and Best Buy:

Our rear entrance is straight ahead at the end of the hallway behind the door. If the door is closed and locked, ring the bell and we'll come let you in!

Tag your items

We'll do a quick verification of the items you've brought to make sure the prices and quantities match, then we'll print barcode labels for your items and you'll label your items so they're ready to go out on the sales floor. You can either attach the labels directly to your items if that won't damage them (they are not removable), or you can stick the labels on paper tags and attach the tags. Our labels are 1 3/4" x 2/3" - we encourage you to bring your own branded tags or cards that have enough blank space on them so attaching the barcode sticker won't cover important information. If you don't have tags or cards, not to worry - we have plenty of tags for you to use!

Once your items have been tagged and labeled, you're done! Your items are ready to go onto the floor and we'll get them out right away. Items that will be hung on the walls won't be put out until after store hours as we can't be hammering while the store is open.
