During this introduction to cold process soaping we'll create some fabulous soap. Cold process soap creation is a specialty skill that requires a lot of attention to safety and detail. We won't rush this class. This 120 minute class includes:
Basic Lye SafetyÂ
Following a Soap RecipeÂ
An Introduction to OilsÂ
Sourcing Quality IngredientsÂ
Basic Cold Process Soaping
Cold process soapmaking requires safety gear and is not an appropriate activity for children. You must be age 16 or older for this activity.I will have a face shield, gloves and apron for each participant. You must wear close-toed shoes, full-length pants and all safety gear provided.
Once we cover the basics, select our fragrances, select our colors and create some beautiful soaps!Â
This is a beginner course and does not require previous soaping experience. Because I am coming a long distance for this one we're going to really slow down the process so more folks can join. I can take up to 8 participants for this class. You should expect this to take the full two hours.Â
