Maker Open House

If you're considering joining us in our new Bangor location but have questions, I encourage you to come on in and chat. I'll be available to answer all your questions and chat about the vision and how things will work. 

I will also take a look at your work and give you a firm yes or no. Copies of the contract will be available. There is a sign-on fee of $100. That fee goes to create an artisan profile for you on our website. To create your barcodes and a profile in our inventory system and to provide the infrastructure for your work. There is a $45 monthly fee and 20% commission. 

Our rates are competitive and calculated. That monthly fee is necesary if we're going to bring people back to the mall. We'll need and have a great advertising plan. $45 a month is a small investment to make in the advertising of yourself and your work. With 25K fans across social media, radio advertising, print ads and an email following of thousands, your dollars will go a long way! 

We'll have a professional staff working on your behalf. We'll be open year-round with hours coordinating with the mall. We'll host book signings, meet and greets and have fun art classes in the space. All of these things help to create a destination space and not just a retail store. 

We filled up in Gorham quickly and there is a waiting list. We have an over 90% retention rate with our clients. I'm not perfect but I will always deal with you honestly and transparently. I am a believer in teamwork, collaboration and respect. I will always treat you with respect and will do my very best to make this a place that benefits the maker community participating and the larger community it engages.
